Today I had a really good day for once. Lately I haven’t been having so many great days, so to finally have one was a blessing. I started my day off by going to the gym and getting a little work out. Then I decided since it was well deserved that I would pamper myself a little bit. So I went to the tanning bed and then to get my nails done. What girl wouldn’t love to do this? After getting this done I was having a little extra confidence in myself and feeling good. The remainder of the day I spent with my wonderful boyfriend. He cooked me dinner, shrimp and fish and then we just settled in for the night and snuggled and watched movies until we fell asleep. Finally a day without arguing with anybody or anything going wrong. I’m so happy to have finally had an awesome day!
I enjoy listening to women

From folksy raw voices of acoustic sets to highly produced vocals laid on top of an electronica beat to whatever Trio Medieval do. When people ask me about my favorite music or artists at the top of the list is always a female vocal. In fact I don’t know that I would have a male vocalist in the top five. Recently I found out that someone had attached a label to a sound that I have always enjoyed. They call it Twee. I don’t know how I feel about genres when they get too precise, but this one I find consistently appealing. I guess more broadly Twee could be described as Indie-Pop, and as I am not an expert on the subject I wouldn’t be able to put my finger on what it is more specifically. What I do know is all the bands I have heard that self identify as Twee have some happy sounding female vocals; and I like them. There are probably plenty of male fronted Twee bands, but I’m not particularly interested them: because I enjoy listening to women.
Dog Packs

I had two dogs for about 8 years before I added a third dog to our home and how our world changed. I thought I knew about training dogs, playing with them and their place in our home. I have learned that three dogs constitute a pack and everything changes. Without being aware of the missed signals I was sending by playing with the new puppy I created a nightmarish existence for my two original dogs, who stated to fight each other for my attention. It got to the point that my walking through the door would spark them off. I have put the aggressive dog on a doggie Prozac and things have been so much better but I would not advise anyone to take on three dogs.
The Scotsman – William Wallace
Posted in Uncategorized on 07/05/2010 02:25 am by adminThroughout Scottish history from the time of Wallace’s execution, the Wallace myth has inspired the people and lost none of its potency. In 1995 and the years to come this myth has been given a giant boost by “Braveheart” and its international success. Rather than simply being a movie, “Braveheart” also addressed wider political and historical issues. It proved that popular films, rather than being passively consumed as a set of images and narratives, can lead into serious debate about sustaining national identities and progressive forms of nationalism. It may be read in very different ways, it can be read in varied historical and political contexts. But, in the end, this movie about a Scottish hero is just a good story. Pure entertainment.
The Versatile Piano

My favorite instrument by far, is the piano, mainly because of its versatility. Many different styles of music can be played on the piano; romantic, classical, jazz, pop, ragtime, and even reggae. The piano can be incorporated into musical expression in all cultures, and the piano has a deep history. In addition to being versatile to different styles of music, it has a variety of uses. The piano can be used to play chamber music, to accompany a solo performer or group of performers, to accompany an ensemble, to assist in composing of music to be used on other instruments, and to aid in rehearsal. In addition to being extremely versatile, the piano is beautiful. All styles, including grand and upright add grandeur, class, beauty and character to one’s home. The body of the piano, often shiny and beautiful, can add character to a space. The piano may not be easy to transport, but having one in your home will definitely enrich your life.
The Skin Allergy
Posted in More Articles on 06/30/2010 02:59 am by adminWhen we adapted our little dog we soon began to notice he had little red spots on his skin and that he was itching them. This was not a good sign for us because we had to put down last dog who was a German Sheppard down since he had incurable allergies. We tried everything the vet told us to do including using dog supplements, putting oil on top of his food and not bathing him very often so his skin wouldn’t dry out. He used to get the spots so bad he had to wear a big ole white safety plastic collar around his neck to keep him from digging at himself. He would open the skin up and cause infections and then had to be put on antibiotics. Finally, one day the vet mentioned we ought to send him to a college far away and let them try experimental treatments on him. That was all too expensive for us. With our current dog we did a little investigation and found a dog food that took his skin allergies away.
FC Barcelona
Posted in Uncategorized on 06/29/2010 05:23 am by adminI can say that they are the best team in the world. Last year Barcelona won everything that was at stake including Champions league and Spanish league. They gave such a drubbing to Real Madrid in one of the derbies in Spanish league where they won 6-2 to stamp their authority over the arch rivals. Ronaldinho, the great Brazilian was the pivotal player in their success in last few years and after he left, it is Lionel Messi arguably the best football player in the world who has become the secret to their success. Their forward line produces some really amazing moves. Their second leg semi final against Chelsea in champions league where they won in extra time was the most exciting match of recent times and a tribute to their never say die spirit. There is no reason as to why they should not repeat their performance this season and their biggest challenge will be to face up to old enemy Real Madrid who has hired some of the best footballers in the world for astronomical amounts.
Never eat anything bigger than your head
Posted in Uncategorized on 06/24/2010 02:23 am by adminDinner last night was at LoLo’s Mexican Food, in Morro Bay, California. A small, family run restaurant, that has become a favorite with us. We were seated at a booth by the front window, where although you can’t see the ocean from there, you can see the sunset. Everyone on the wait staff is friendly, and gives quick, attentive service. Our meal? I had the “Wet Burro”, a giant flour tortilla stuffed with Chili Verde pork, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, and guacamole, covered with enchilada sauce. Delicious and filling. DW had 2 shrimp tacos, with hard shells instead of soft, with rice and black beans on the side. Accompanied with “Cayucos Beach Ale”, a locally named (although not locally produced, it comes from Gilroy, California, 150 miles north and definitely not on the beach!) No room for dessert after that.

A day in the life of a closet IPhone addict

- Image by [ebarrera] via Flickr
I begin my day by checking to see if I have any messages on my new IPhone – voice, text picture, I’ll take anything. If there are no messages, I spend at least 5 minutes trying to figure out who I have offended and how I can fix it. Next I check my applications are they all updated. I check to see what’s new, what I just have to have. Then, believe it or not, I actually go to work. During work, I wait for my alarms to go off, signaling that I am important, I am busy, and I am loved. I sneak in several games during the day and pretend that I am updating my very busy schedule with work related meetings, of course. What? Time to go home already? The time flies by when you are constantly checking your phone. On the way home I call several people for no good reason just so that people in passing cars will hopefully glimpse me on my very important, very stylish IPhone. I spend the evening checking my email, surfing random internet sites and just bonding with my IPhone. During this time I will also cook dinner and try to spend “quality time” with my family. Life is good.
I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy
Posted in Uncategorized on 06/17/2010 12:14 pm by adminThe New York Yankees are one for the most loved and one of the most hated MLB teams in history. Good business sense, rich owners, hard line rules and tons of tradition have absolutely sold me on being a loyal NYY fan for life. I grew up watching the Yankees , and remember the great Reggie Jackson, Thurmon Munson, argumentative Billy Martin, and I would like to be adopted by Joe Torre! Through all the championships and all of the losses, the Yankees have held on to high standards and tradition- which makes American Baseball great! From the National Anthem to Kate’s “God Bless America”, I am riveted to the television. Joe Girardi is maturing in his role as Skipper this year. I see an even temperament, good role modeling for young athletes, and a positive, loyal attitude toward his players- win or lose. The 2009 NYY are incredibly in sync with each other. Back to back home runs, fun spirited pies in the face for walk off home runs and pure joy in playing America’s favorite pastime. That’s what Yankee baseball is all about!!
