I am absolutely addicted to the BBC News Website (www.bbc.co.uk/news). Not only does this site provide breaking world news and comprehensive world new divided by area but it also takes the time to delve into other topics in depth. Often you will find fascinating in-depth reviews on the arts, health or even country profiles. I really enjoy the light-hearted news section, ‘Also in the news’, which covers some of the more humorous antics of people or animals around the globe. It really is hard to get away from the site once you click into it! Although being primarily a British site, the global content is unrivalled in any other news site. Often BBC offers much more comprehensive analysis of American and Middle Eastern politics than many sites based in the respective countries. The quality of journalism is excellent and I do find the reporting very balanced. A special section devoted to video coverage of events around the world gives excellent access to current affairs.
