As the World Turns

When the kids were little they made us as parents feel like we hadn’t quite done our job as parents because they didn’t have a dog. They would say things like, how can we grow up without a dog, it’s not right, it’s not American and so on. With three kids saying that with the oldest leading the way, we finally gave in. Never the less, we began our hunt for the perfect dog. We stopped by many pounds and pet stores looking for the perfect little dog. It had to be small for our townhouse, light haired, not a barker and good with kids. One Saturday we hit the jackpot! A lady decided a dog and a baby were too much to care for at once so she turned him in to be adapted. We scooped him up as soon as we saw him! He was our perfect little dog and it was time to take him home. We bought him a crate, a dog seat belt and food. We got him safely home and we’ve had him for 12 years now.
