I have three dogs. They are all female Labrador Retrievers. Two of them are yellow and one is black. I love them more than anything and treat them as if they were children. They get treats and dog toys on their birthdays and at Christmas and even sometimes when I take them into the pet stores. I spoil those dogs with toys so often that I realized the other day, that I have way too many dog toys! My realization came when I rolled over in bed onto a rubber chicken! At that point I decided to round up all of their toys and weed out the old and chewed up ones. I have a rather large house and huge barn area so that was a hard task. After collecting the over one hundred dog toys, I threw away probably seventy of them that were old and chewed. Let’s just say they aren’t getting any dog toys for a long time!

-My family is my biggest inspiration. My family is what wakes me up in the morning and sends me into a peaceful slumber at night, ready for the next day. I am the person that I am today because of them. They challenge me to be the best person I can be and when times get tough they are the force pushing me to keep going. They are my everything and if it was not for them, I have absolutely no idea how I could make it through each day.

My favorite invention throughout history probably comes from the Renaissance time period. It is called to camera obscura. This invention was the precursor for the original camera. This invention helped lead to photography. This box projected larger copies of images on to a screen and allowed the artisits to trace or paint enormous pictures. It was fairly simple too. It just consisted of a box with a hole that allowed for light to come in. This is my favorite invention because I love photography and art. If it hadn’t been for this invention, who knows how long it would have taken for inventors to finally create cameras. This invention allowed for some magical moments to be captured in history and I think it is one of the most awesome inventions, as simple as it is.

Traveling backward or forward in time comes with the same consequence: at some point, you are a stranger to the world that you’re in. Too far in the future and everyone you know is dead. Too far in the past and no one you know has been born yet. It’s a depressing notion to me either way. However there is a child in me that would love to see humanity reach space. I don’t think I’ll get to see a man walk on Mars in my lifetime. If I had a time machine and the opportunity, I might head forward enough to see that happen. As neurotic as I am however, I’d be concerned finding out we never made it.
