Living a dog life – Dog Collars

As a dog owner and pet enthusiast I often find myself looking at the latest dog collars and dog related products although many new collars have come out I personally feel that nothing beats a classic leather collar my dog Rex loves his black leather collar and I am often complemented on the collar it is a timeless classic and well known to be a better choice than getting modern dog collars, I personally attend many dog related functions where owners compare pictures of each other’s dogs the two groups of owners are the large dog owners and the toy dog owners as a large dog owner (Rex is a German Sheppard) I do not often talk to members of the toy dog owner group.

Our Winter Holiday 2010

We celebrate Christmas, so for my family this was the holiday we celebrated.  It was a nice Christmas for us.  We were somewhat money-challenged, but I stashed enough money beforehand so that we could have some fun with it.  For Christmas Dinner, I cooked prime rib, asparagus with Italian parsley and garlic, and “smashed potatoes,” which were all a huge hit with my guys.  My husband gave me a Flip phone, which I am enjoying using.  My husband received a fancy new Android cell phone from me and my son, which he seems to be enjoying.  My husband and I gave our son the DJ Hero game, which he loves, and a bunch of video games.  Our Christmas was very low-key, which is just the way I like it.  We didn’t attend too many Holiday parties.

Hopes for 2011

I have a long wish list for 2011.  My stock investments are doing phenomenally well, and I would like to see this trend continue.  People seem to be spending money again, and I’m hoping the burgeoning states’ sales tax revenue will right a lot of the budget issues looming on the horizon.  I would like to see some interesting, thought-provoking movies come out of Hollywood, although this might be too much to hope for.  (In the absence of that, I would like to see some great indie films.)   I would like to go to some great art gallery and museum shows and read some books that change my life for the better.  I am also hoping I can take some dynamite jewelry classes and turn out some great jewelry.  That’s about it.

Highlights and Lowlights of 2010

2010 was a challenging year.  I worked for the whole year at the same temporary job, and that was a nice change of pace.  The economy definitely seems to be on the upswing – the underground metros and the buses in our city are full again, and during lunchtime at work, I have to wait on line for my lunch, which was not the case last year.  So these are excellent signs.  My son started high school and he seems to really enjoy it, so that is a wonderful thing indeed.  He also loves his new friends and his teachers, and it appears to be mutual.  So it’s been a year of transitions for us.  What I dislike most right now is the general feeling of flatness and deadness that prevails.  I don’t get as many e-mails from friends, because they’re all trying to keep up with their lives.  I don’t see as many creative projects.  Hopefully this will change in 2011.
