Better Than a Millionaire, I Am a Teacher

It really means a lot to me that I made the smart decision years ago to forgo opportunities to be a civil engineer or a sound technician. While I would have made so much more money by this time in my life, I value my job as a special education more than anything I could imagine outside my family. I take pride in looking at what I do, the importance I play in society, and the differences I can make for even the most challenging of my students. I wake up every day ready to support my kids, and cannot imagine how hollow my life would have been had I not chosen to become a teacher.

Dogs Halloween Costumes

These days the latest trend is to dress up your doggie in branded dog clothing. Dog owners want to purchase the best for these fur babies. Worldwide one can find several clothing options for their pets and mostly it has been, noticed that the garments are, bought for the owner’s satisfaction not dogs satisfaction. Dogs Halloween costumes is the perfect companion if you plan to take your dog to Halloween with you. You can choose from a hot dog outfit, princess outfit, pumpkin costume and thousands of others. If you bring your dog to Halloween night in the dog Halloween costume with your kids, you are sure to be the talk of the town. Your doggie can get attention that he requires and take part in all the amusement in this way. In the dogs view, some clothing is quite handy. For example, the Michigan winters may be brutal for shorthaired animals when they are, taken out for a walk. Their outdoors can be made more entrancing by dog coats and other warm clothes such as bomb jackets, ski jackets, and more. The dogs can survive even without a dog coat as nature has provided them with their own natural coat. The doggie shoes, which include tennis shoes, ballet shoes, and boots are wore by all well dressed dogs as well.

Home for the Holidays

This year, as is our family custom every other year, we are planning to simply stay home for the holidays. Though we enjoy traveling to visit family members both near and far, it is nice to have a year off to simply relax at home, stay in pajamas, and open presents in front of our own tree. In addition, you get the bonus of sleeping in your own bed and not on Aunt Martha’s hide-a-bed from the late 1960s! We always invite our parents to join us, and I would expect at least one of our families to take us up on the offer. However, this means they are the ones that get the guest room.

You Can Find Me on the Links

Since I was a kid, golf has always been a big part of my life. Though now, with four kids and a busy job, I find myself constantly busy running from one place to another, my friends and family know that if I find a moment to spare a make a break for the golf course. All I need is a putter, three golf balls, and 20 minutes and I can make my escape a perfect getaway in a busy week. Throw in a few bucks, a few extra clubs, and the driving range and I’m really having fun. Finally, when the planets align just right and I get five hours of peace, and a round of golf puts me in the best frame of mind for another month of insanity.

Best Buy is the Best

Though I’m not the most avid shopper in the world, there is something about a visit to Best Buy that really gets my consumer juices flowing. Walking in and seeing the rows of music, walls of televisions, and banks of computer accessories gives me a feeling of excitement, and usually armed with a gift card (thanks to my family and friends who know my true desires!), I start to break down just how I will spend my loot. My son loves coming with me, because we can also use our shopping journey as a chance to sample the latest in video games, and of course bragging rights are always on the line!

I’m Tired of Sweating!

Winter is always one of my favorite seasons. As much as I enjoy the vacations and side-trips that make up a well-planned summer, the soccer and football games of the fall, and the beginning of baseball season each spring, I always look forward to the chilly days of winter. For some reason, I have always been genetically cursed with sweating in even the mildest of weather. Simply walking up a quick flight of stairs in 70 degree heat is pretty much all it takes to get me sweating, and as a result I am always having to wear undershirts. Winter is the best, because it finally means total comfort!

Great from Start to Finish

Today was a blast. This morning was our first chance to get out and practice soccer on a cool Saturday morning as opposed to a hot weekday afternoon, and the team responded brilliantly. The time went by quickly, and soon I went home with my son and we got ready for grandpa’s birthday party. We had a blast with family, enjoying Mexican food and cake, and finally headed home in time to get the kids to their friends houses for their well earned sleepovers. Now, as I sit at home by myself, I can relax and see that today was a perfect Saturday!

What’s Next?

I have three more semesters to go for my undergraduate studies. After that, I plan on going to medical school to become a psychiatrist. The field of psychiatry fascinates me in that there is so much about the brain that we don’t understand. And what’s worse, there are many more people with mental disorders that aren’t diagnosed. I love people watching, and to know why someone does something or reacts in a certain way would be amazing. To be able to help someone by offering advice, giving them treatment, or simply being someone they can talk to, is one of the greatest joys of being human, at least in my book.

This My Crib

College Station, Texas

I live in a student housing apartment complex in College Station, Texas. College Station is a cool place to live simply because it is the home of the Texas A&M Aggies. Being a current student, I love being close to football games, bonfires, and Northgate. If you don’t know what Northgate is, it is basically the place to go for college students. There are bars and clubs and tons of restaurants. My apartment complex is great because it is only for students. They host pool parties and barbeques and other community events that allows A&M students to get together and have some fun.

Ideas on Making Perfect Dog Sweaters

Dog sweaters are helpful for keeping the dogs warm during the winter season. These sweaters can be produced even at home in all different styles and sizes within a short time. Before making the sweaters, it is necessary to take all the measurements of the dog exactly starting from the base region of the neck till the beginning portion of the tail. The breadth of the sweater must be calculated using the measurements of the chest area. Loose clothing should not be selected as the chances of getting injured is high in loose dog clothing. The perfect sweater should not be very tight or very loose, it must be close in the top portion of the leg and lightly loose in the neck portion and snugly in the chest region.
